I absolutely loved capturing Mily and James' wedding last weekend. The two have been so sweet and easy to work with throughout the whole process. Mily planned the whole wedding herself, and it was so well done that you would swear it was done by a planner. On their wedding day, I met up with Mily at her Matron of Honour's house for the bridal prep. My second shooter met up with James and his groomsmen, as per usual. I was so excited for us to use my new 'Bride' and 'Groom' hangers that I will be bringing to the bridal prep of all weddings, by Touch of Heart who makes all kinds of custom hangers. The ceremony was held at Pickering Village United Church, and then we made our way to Trafalgar Castle for the portraits, along with the wedding party. It was raining out, so we took the opportunity to have some portraits done with my clear umbrella outside. Trafalgar Castle is gorgeous inside as well and I love shooting there. The reception was held at the Ajax Convention Centre. The wedding colours were gold and white, and the beautiful decor was done by All In One Decoration. I absolutely loved the head table's backdrop and linens! The wedding party made their grand entrance following cocktail hour, and kicked off the reception with their first dance. Calling it dreamy would be an understatement! The dry ice and other special effects were done by the DJ, Veriation Music. Following that was dinner and speeches. The sweetest was when Mily and James got up to do their thank you speech; James thanked Mily for all of the wonderful things she does and showed his appreciation and adoration for her. Congratulations on your marriage, Mily and James! I hope you and your family have an amazing life together! VendorsPhotography: Michelle Lewis Photography

Bernice & Dominic's wedding at Bronte Harbour in Oakville was absolutely gorgeous! I met up with them, along with my second shooter, shortly before their wedding ceremony. The two exchanged marriage vows at The Merciful Redeemer Parish in Mississauga. It was a beautiful ceremony with a lot of light beams shining through the church's windows, which created a very ethereal atmosphere. Following the ceremony, we met up with the couple at Bronte Harbour for portraits. Their reception was at the Harbour Banquet Centre, located at Bronte Harbour. The weather was absolutely perfect, and same with the bright sunlight! The decor had natural elements to it, such as tree slabs in the centre pieces and greenery around the backdrop and cake. The colours were white and lavender for a fresh and slightly rustic feel. It was a beautiful wedding! Congratulations to Bernice and Dominic! I wish you both, along with Nicholas, a lifetime of happiness, love, and laughter.
