Samantha and Justin had an absolutely beautiful wedding! The theme was 50's Elegance, which was complimented nicely by white and lace. It was a very timeless theme that will never go out of style because it's so classy. Their Engagement session was also vintage themed, and was so much fun as well. They grew up listening to a lot of classic oldies that helped inspire the theme, such as The Drifters and The Temptations, and both still love the genre. A lot of this music was played at the wedding. I absolutely loved it since I grew up hearing my own father play a lot of that music. I even had a CD of The Drifters when I was a kid. The two have known each other since they were just 11 years old, and their parents would try to set them up together even as kids. At the time, Justin had a crush on Samantha but she was not as interested as he was. They attended each other's birthdays for the next few years, and would always cut the cake together. As life changes, they grew apart for a few years. Fairly recently, they randomly came back into each other's lives by chance and they have been together since. The cake cutting at their wedding was even more symbolic for them, since it's something they used to do. During speeches, it was so beautiful to hear the way Justin talks about Samantha; you can tell he loves her truly. Congratulations again, Samantha and Justin! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness, love, and laughter. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your wedding. I had an amazing time capturing it along with my second shooter. Rachel and Cameron had such a fun and creative wedding, full of laughter. The date they chose really set the feel for the wedding's atmosphere, as April Fools Day is a naturally fun and comical holiday. Rachel described herself and Cameron as naturally goofy people. Choosing April Fools Day was a really nice personal touch to make their wedding unique as she mentions that 'only fools rush in'. The two enjoy movies, so they ran with that idea and had old movie clips and homemade videos projected onto a wall of their venue. The wedding was held at the elegant Eglinton Grand theatre in Toronto. This venue has such a beautiful 1920's Art Deco appearance to it, as well as fitting in with the theme. The cake topper had silhouettes of Frankenstein's Monster and Frankenstein's Bride. This also really matched their engagement session's theme, which featured them dressed up as the main characters from Phantom of the Opera, and also from Frankenstein with stage makeup done and everything! They had two of the images made into posters that were displayed outside of the Eglinton Grand for their wedding. You can see the posters in this blog's gallery. I absolutely loved how the posters turned out! The Frankenstein images of them also appeared on their Art Deco styled wedding programs, which were written the same way as a theatre production's program would be. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were listed after the subtitle on the back of the program, saying "Starring in tonight's performance", and the quote "Enjoy the Show" was written on the other side for example. The Bride and her bridesmaids, and the groom and his groomsmen, got ready at the Don Valley Hotel in Toronto in two separate rooms. The large windows made this such a great location to get ready, as the lighting was beautiful! For the first dance, the bride surprised everyone (including the groom!) with an Elvis impersonator. The Elvis did such an amazing job singing "Can't Help Falling in Love" for the first dance, as well as some more Elvis songs after. There was a beautiful spot light on the two for this as well. Thank you so much, Cameron and Rachel, for allowing me to be a part of your special day. I wish you both all the happiness in the world, seeing as you both really deserve that. I love seeing how you both look at each other with so much love that your eyes sparkle. Congratulations again to you both! Primary photographer, editing, and image copyright: Michelle Lewis
